3.1.3 Menu navigation

To change the values for temperature or speed you must
navigate through the menu (Fig. F+G).

Starting from the main screen the following applies:

Press M key 1x:

You will reach the menu item "Temperature". This is the set
temperature to which the machine should regulate. Press
the arrow keys briefl y to increase/decrease the value by 5
and press and hold the arrow keys to increase/decrease
the value by 25.

Press the M key 2x:

You will get to the menu item "Speed". This is the speed
at which the machine moves when the heating air blower
is brought into working position. Briefl y pressing the arrow
keys increases/decreases the value by 0.1 m/min and hol-
ding down the arrow keys increases/decreases the value
by 1.0 m/min.

Press the M key 3 times:

You reach the "Cooldown" menu item. Pressing the up ar-
row key activates the cool-down mode (the display shows
"ON") and cools the machine until 50°C is reached and
then switches it off .
If you have activated the mode by mistake, you can deac-
tivate it again by pressing the down arrow key (the display
shows "OFF").

Press the M key 4x:

You reach the "Settings" menu item. Press the arrow keys
to enter the settings menu.

Settings menu:

In the "Units" menu item, you can use the arrow keys to
select between the display in °C and °F.

Press the M key 1x:

You reach the "Data" menu item where you can view the
running times for the heating air blower and motor as well
as the distance traveled and the software version.

Press the M button 2x:

You reach the menu item "Back" where you can return to
the main menu by pressing the arrow keys.
If you do not press any key for 10 seconds, the machine
automatically returns to the main screen.

3.1.4 Adjusting the machine

To achieve optimal results, the speed, temperature, con-
tact pressure and nozzle cover must be set according to
the material to be processed before welding.

Speed

Select the appropriate speed as described in 3.1.2.

Temperature

Select suitable temperature as described in 3.1.2.

Contact pressure

The contact pressure of the welding wheel (Fig. C pos. 4)
can be increased by screwing in the knurled screw (Fig. C
pos. 5) and decreased by unscrewing it.

Guideline:

For lino and rubber fl oor coverings
high contact pressure.
Low contact pressure for PVC fl oor coverings.

Nozzle cover

In order to be able to optimally adapt the air distribution to
the material, the Weldmaster 2.0 has two fl aps which can
be adjusted.

The air volume fl ap (Fig. B pos.5) can be opened to reduce
the air volume that hits the fl oor.

The preheating fl ap (Fig. C pos.2) can be used to regulate
the air that preheats the welding wire. It can be adjusted
between fully closed, half open and fully open.

Guideline:

For Lino fl oor coverings, close the preheating fl ap.
For PVC and rubber, open the preheating fl ap.
open.
In the case of special fl oor coverings or welded cords
there may be deviations from this rule.

3.2 Welding process

When the Weldmaster 2.0 is correctly preset, welding can
be started.

3.2.1 Wire entry

The wire insertion should be carried out with the machine
switched off  or in the preheating position (Fig. D).
To do this, pick up the wire on the welding wire holder (Fig.
A pos. 7) and feed it through the guide tube (Fig. C pos.
3). Now lift the welding wheel (Fig. C pos. 4) slightly and
pull the welding wire through between the groove and the
welding wheel.
