MODBUS Protocol

The protocol parameters configure the protocols that run over the serial interface or the

Ethernet interface (HART or MODBUS).



When using the serial interface, only one protocol can be active at a time (either HART or

MODBUS), depending on the value of the serial interface parameter

Protocol Selection

chapter 5.3.1



When using the Ethernet interface, there is no need to select a protocol. Both protocols run

parallel using different port numbers.
