Calibration Mode

To test a microphone, the calibrator generates a calibrated 40 kHz tone.

1.

At the

Song Meter Main Menu

, select

Utilities

, and press

ENTER/MENU

.

2.

Select

Calibrate Mics

and then press

ENTER/MENU

.

3.

Attach the microphone to either microphone port using a microphone
extension cable.

4.

Install the clear calibrator microphone adapter by sliding it onto the calibrator
from the bottom (the end with the Wildlife Acoustics logo) until it is touching
the toggle switches.

5.

Place the microphone in the calibrator microphone adapter. Make sure that
the side with the smaller hole diameter is near the toggle switches. Insert the
microphone until it rests against the smaller opening of the adapter hole.
