8.12. Replacing the rubber part for
angle adjustment
Carry out this work only when
the machine is attached.
Lower the Terra Spike on the
fully lowered front roller.
Switch off the tractor and
secure it against
unintentional starting.
Pin and secure the rear roller in
the park position
(see Chapter 5.2.).
Relax the tension on the upper link
and release from the Terra Spike.
Open hood and secure as specified
in Chapter 8.5.
Remove the folding plug

and
swing the flap
(B)
down.
Loosen and remove the nut
(C)

Carefully loosen and remove the hex
nut
(D)
to relieve the tension on
the compression spring
(E)
.
Pull the washer
(F)
, thrust washer
(G), disk (H)
and buffer
(J)
off the
spindle
(K)
.
Slide a new buffer
(H)
, thrust
washer
(G)
and washer
(F)
onto the
spindle
(K)
.
Turn the hex nut

by hand onto
the spindle shaft up to the washer.
By tightening the hex nut

, the
compression spring
(E)
is preloaded.
The correct preloading has been
reached if the compression spring
is pressed together to a value of
"X" = 2.17 in. (55 mm)

NOTE:
The indicator
(L)
must never be
removed. The indicator also acts as
a stop for the adjustment range.
