⑨ If a voltage divider is installed to generates arc voltage and use in arc voltage controller,
try to install the voltage divider panel close to the arc voltage sampling position.

⑩ All other signals (analogy, digital, parallel communication, encoder) should operate in
double glue shielded cables. The connectors of these cables must have metal shell or
shielding layer, and link it to the metal shell of the connector at each end of the cable.

7. Plasma power source installation

Cutting power supply machine positioning

The cutting power source machine can be handled by forklift, but the length of the fork must
be able to extend into the whole cutting power base. Carefully use forklift ,to avoid any
damages.Pay attention to the fork balance, and move slowly especially when turning.

① Place the plasma cutting power at dry and clean place,with good ventilation. For
ventilation and maintenance ,leave one meter space at each side of the cutting power supply
machine.

② The cooling fan draws cold air from the front panel , and discharge at the rear. Do not put
any filter equipment at the air inlet, it will affect cooling efficiency.

③ Do not put the cutting machine at tilting slop more than 10 degree, to avoid dumping.

Power supply installation requirements of plasma cutting power source

The power supply part to the machine must contain following parts on the power
distribution box: power switch, slow fuse, and power supply cable and protective earthing
conductor with suitable length. It shall be installed by licensed electricians and comply with
national and local electrical regulations.

Power lead of plasma cutting power source:
Copper cable is required, and recommended length not exceed 15m. See table 4-1 for the
cross-sectional area of copper conductor.

Power switch of distribution box

The power switch is used to cut off (isolate) the input voltage. Install the switch close to the
plasma cutting power to facilitate the operation. This power switch should has following
functions:
