6.3.3 Signal Generator Assembly Procedure
1.
Assemble the timing gear onto the signal generator, fasten with M22 hexagon bolts, the fasten
torque is (290-310) Nm.
2.
Assemble the O-ring into the signal generator.
3.
Assemble the speed sensor into the signal generator, fasten with M6 hexagon bolts, the fasten
torque is (8-10) Nm.
4.
Screw the double-headed stud into the timing gear housing, assemble the signal generator onto
the timing gear housing, fasten with M10 bolt, the fasten torque is (39-46) Nm.
5.
Adjust the crankshaft to TDC: the first cylinder piston should be in its compression stroke.
Tighten the connecting bolts between the pump gear and signal generator.
6.
Assemble the cover, fasten with M6 hexagon bolt, the fasten torque is (8-10) Nm.
6.3.4 Inspection and Maintenance of Signal Generator
1.
Check for damage to the signal generator shaft threads.
2.
Check that the locknuts of the signal generator fluted disc are tightened and that the ignition
angle of the signal generator is correct.
3.
Change the O-ring and the washer after dismounting.
4.
Check for damage to the speed sensor, tooth disc, or housing
