Installing Options and Accessories
Required materials

Plunger seal wash system kit. Use the appropriate kit for your model

Razor knife or tubing cutter
Preparing the instrument
To prepare the pump:
1. Purge the pump with methanol (see
). If methanol is not
miscible with your mobile phase, use an intermediate mobile phase.
2. Insert the priming syringe into the Luer
®
fitting at the center of the
draw-off valve handle, and then rotate the handle counterclockwise,
about 1/2-turn, to open the valve.
3. Remove the solvent inlet lines from the reservoirs.
4. Use the syringe to withdraw all the methanol from the instrument.
