Automatic bar tack / Automatic darning
Using a pattern
1.
Adjust the slider to the length of the bar tack.
a = length of the bar tack
2.
Thread the upper thread through the opening in the buttonhole foot and
leave the upper thread on the left-hand side.
3.
Place the fabric under the presser foot so the starting point is on this side.
Lower the foot.
If you are sewing a bar tack to the end of thick fabrics, such as a trouser
pocket, place fabric of the same thickness or a piece of cardboard next to the
fabric.
