Scanning with the
TWAIN Interface
You can scan from any TWAIN scanning application instead of scanning from
the OneTouch buttons on your scanner or the OneTouch button panel.
A Note About Your Scanner and the TWAIN standard:
TWAIN is a widely
recognized procedure that software applications use to receive images from
scanners, digital cameras, and other digital devices. The TWAIN scanning
interface can be accessed from any TWAIN compliant scanning application on
the computer. The OmniPage software, provided with your scanner, can access
the TWAIN scanning interface. Because the TWAIN interface is essentially the
same regardless of the software you use to open it, you can still use the
instructions in this
User’s Guide
for scanning with your Visioneer Patriot 680
scanner. Please refer to an application’s user guide for the appropriate steps to
open the TWAIN Interface for your scanner.
The OmniPage Pro user’s guide is located on the Installation Disc 2 you
received with the scanner.
Note:
If the OneTouch configuration you are using to scan is set to
Configure Before Scan
, and the selected option is
TWAIN
, the TWAIN
interface opens right away. You don’t need to open it from another
application as explained in the following steps.
