The available formats are based on the type of Destination Application
you select. See “Selecting File Format Options” on page 42.
TIP
: If you selected a word processing program, such as Microsoft
WordPad, the scanned text is automatically converted to editable text. See
“Scanning with Optical Character Recognition (OCR)” on page 55.

Note that while the OneTouch Properties window is open, you cannot
scan yet by clicking a button on the OneTouch Panel. You must click
OK
or close the OneTouch Properties window first. However, you can scan at
any time by pressing the Simplex or Duplex button on the scanner.

Properties button
—Displays a window for selecting properties for each type
of Destination Application. See “Setting Destination Application Properties”
on page 48.
Refresh button
—If you install new applications on your computer, and they
do not appear in the
Select Destination
list, click the
Refresh
button.
New/Copy/Edit/Delete buttons
—Click
New
or
Copy
to add new scan
configurations to the list. Click
Edit
or
Delete
to change or remove them. See
the sections “Creating a New Scan Configuration” on page 31 and “Editing or
Deleting Scan Configurations” on page 38.
