Other Printer Problems
Printer takes a long time to
print
• Check the file size. A large document may take a while to
process and print.
• Check the print settings: Printing is slower when
High
or
Premium
quality is selected.
Printer slows down when
printing large documents
• The application you are printing from may have a
compatibility issue with the printer. Contact your VIPColor
reseller.
• The ambient temperature may affect print speed. It is
recommended that the printer be used in an air-conditioned
room.
FEED button does not work
after printing is completed
Although the printer is online, it is not ready to accept the
Feed command.
Note the firmware version of your printer and contact your
VIPColor reseller to find out if an upgrade is available to resolve
this issue.
Media does not load properly;
it feeds a few inches into the
printer and stops
1. On the control panel, select
Menu
Maintenance
Setup Label
Threshold
Auto-Calibration
.
2. Ensure this option is
ON
.
3. Remove and reload the media (see
Load Label Media
on
page 22). Make sure the unwinder is turned on.
The printer should now auto-calibrate and position the media
correctly for printing.
