9 Use the PTAM as a recorder

The PTAM can also be used as call recorder or as memo recorder. It is
possible to configure the PTAM to give the option to store or delete the
recording when the recording has been stopped. You don't need to worry
about enough space on your cassette, nor is there a risk of recording over a
previous recording.

9.1 PTAM as call recorder

When a telephone conversation is going on the conversation can be recorded.

•

Press the Record button

to start the recording.

•

Press the Stop button

to stop the recording.

Your PTAM can be configured to record every phone call automatically.
Please contact your supplier for more details.

9.2 PTAM as microphone/memo recorder

The PTAM can also be used as microphone or memo recorder. Connect a
microphone to the microphone connector at the back of the PTAM. See § 2.2
for more details. It is possible to use a foot-switch for a more comfortable use
while playing recordings. See § 7.2.10 for more details.

Press the Record button

to start the recording.

Press the Stop button

to stop the recording.

Your PTAM can be configured to automatically start recording when any
activity is detected. Please contact your supplier for more details. Your
supplier can also advise you on which microphone to use.
