According to the selected language the Hang-up detection is set. For UK this
is K-break detection. This service needs to be supported by your PBX or your
telephone service provider.

Sets the amount of rings before the PTAM answers the phone.

Press CHANGE to alter the number of rings to always answer on
Set the amount of rings before the PTAM answers the phone when the
answering machine is Off. After picking up the phone the answering machine
is automatically turned on. If you don't want the PTAM to answer the phone
when the answering machine is off select
Off. It might be sensible to set this
option to 20 (the maximum). This way you will always be able to enter the
remote control menu for example to turn the answering machine On.
