Vess A2000 Series

Product Manual

EINSTALL

INUX

Follow the instructions below to reinstall the Linux OS. Notice that Windows Image

Writer is also used for the creation of the boot image. So you will need another computer

running Windows to perform this procedure.

1. Download

ImageWriter.exe

(see instructions on previous page).

2. Download latest

Vess A2000 Series Linux

image.

Insert the USB ﬂ ash drive into your computer.

4. Use the

Select USB drive

menu to choose the drive letter of the USB ﬂ ash

memory device, then use the

Select Image

button to locate the image ﬁ le you

downloaded. When you have the USB drive letter and image ﬁ le location selected,

click

Write!

to begin. The process takes a few minutes. A boot image is written to

the USB device.

5. Insert the USB drive into the Linux Vess A2000 Series and boot up.

6. You are prompted to select a destination for the Linux OS installation. Select

“Internal ﬂ ash” since this is the default location it will be selected automatically if

you take no action.

7. You are prompted again to proceed or cancel. Enter “u” for Update, and the

installation process launches.
