Step 4:
Now turn the nozzle unit slowly counter-clockwise, until the green adjust LED is ON. The val-
ue in the display should be between 1030 and 1040. Confirm the adjust with pressing
[en-
ter]
.The adjust is finished.
If you have got an F-valve, the system will start automatically to perform the MNL calibra-
tion
(see next part)
. In case you are using an A-valve
(or an F-valve reduced to A-mode)
, the
process ends here and you are send back to the main menu.
IMPORTANT NOTE! (Rotation angle)
The angular area, where the green adjust LED is ON, is normally small in a clean system. The
rotation angle with the tool is below 30°. If you have got a clean system, but this angle is
larger, then this might be a sign of wearout.
IMPORTANT NOTE! (Confirming adjust)
A correctly completed adjust can only be confirmed with
[enter]
, while the green adjust LED
is ON.
IMPORTANT NOTE! (Unstable values)
The whole procedure has to be repeated, if the value fluctuates or decreases within a
short period of time
(ca. 5 sec)
. Start again from step 1.
IMPORTANT NOTE!
(Correct installation)
The tappet guidance including the nozzle insert has to be installed correctly. Other-
wise the adjust may fail
.
IMPORTANT NOTE! (Careful installation)
Screw the nozzle unit carefully onto the fluid box. Avoid tilting the nut by tilting the
nozzle unit. This procedure requires sufficient concentration.
INFORMATION! (Abort and end of procedure)
•
The adjust can be aborted any time by pressing
[esc]
.
•
After the adjust the green lamp dims within 5 sec.
5.4.2
(F) MNL Calibration
The MNL calibration is only possible with an F-valve. It starts automatically after the adjust.
The MNL calibration calibrates the positioning of the MNL screw and improves the exactness
of the fine positioning. Without it, no MNL value can be found.
The display shows the following message:
After a moment three dots five arrows will be added. They show you that you have to turn
the MNL screw in clockwise. Turn it speedy, but not too much force in, till you reach the
end. Use tool MDT 301, since it can be turned in finer steps than MDT 302.
