Product Description
4.1.5.2
Submenu “Pulse Parameters“
In the submenu “Pulse Parameters” you can recall and modify dispensing parameters for a particu-
lar process. The limits for these parameters you can find in the diagram. Values outside these rang-
es cannot be entered. The values for rising and falling are for 80 % needle lift. If the needle lift is
smaller, the values might be lower.
4.1.5.3
Submenu “Heater“
Three distinct options
(MDH-230te, MDH-230tf and MDH-230tg)
are available to heat the nozzles
of the microdispenser MDS 3200
+
. If a heater is connected to the system, the main menu shows
the current temperature
(in °C)
instead of “Ready”.
CAUTION! (High temperatures)
The nozzle heater can reach temperatures of up to 120 °C
(even more with MDH-230tg)
. Don’t
touch this area during operation. And afterwards only touch it once it has cooled down.
This way the dynamical viscosity of the fluid to be dispensed can be controlled. For some liquids
dispensing without heating is impossible. Heating may also be required to ensure a constant pro-
cess temperature, or when the dispensing has to take place above room temperature.
Selection of temperature values
(“Temperature”)
as well as switching ON and OFF
(“Switch”)
of the
heaters is carried out by means of the functions illustrated below. The third option
(“Heater Volt-
age”)
allows you to adapt your heater to the voltage used where your application is set up.
INFORMATION!
While heater is turned “OFF”, the MDC will answer with “No Heater” to the serial command
“TEMP:?”.
