To start the MediaConnect 9000, press the Power button on the front of the
computer. Following the Windows startup, the MediaConnect 9000 application
opens automatically. However, this process proceeds in accordance with the type of
configuration:
•
Media Xchange Manager™ (MXM) managed
•
Stand-alone or registered with another gatekeeper.

Media Xchange Manager™ (MXM) Managed
If the MediaConnect 9000 is managed by VCON’s Media Xchange Manager™
(MXM), you have to log in when you start your system. You can make this login
process automatic.
During the MediaConnect 9000 startup, the MXM Login dialog box appears.

To log in to an MXM

. Enter the name of your
computer as listed in the
MXM database and the
MXM Administrator.

. Enter the
password required
to log in. The first
time you register,
you must type it
twice for
verification. If you
do not supply this
password, the login
request is rejected.

. Click to complete
the login.

. Enter the IP
address of the
MXM. If you do not
know it, ask your
system
administrator.

. Select if you
want to log into the
same MXM with
the same login
name and
password every
time you run
MediaConnect
9000.
