If the door packing parts are damaged, adhere them using 88

glue, upon
scraping them with an abrasive cloth and wiping with clean cotton cloth moistened
with gasoline.
The door windows are equipped with lowering and swinging glasses. The door
glasses are raised and lowered down with the help of lifting mechanisms. The glasses
should move in the guides freely, without seizing.
Lubricate all the friction surfaces of parts of locks, window raisers, hinges, fas-
teners and spring pins with the LITOL-24 grease or solid oil, when disassembling.
Windshield washer and wiper.
The cab is equipped with a windshield washer and
wiper. The two-speed electric windshield wiper comprises an electric drive, two tie-
rods, brushes
'
levers and two brushes. The windshield wiper is turned ON by a
change-over switch on the dashboard. When the wiper is switched off, the brushes are
automatically put down alongside the glass lower edge.
The windshield washer tank with a pump and a motor is mounted on the hood l.h.
side. The tank volume is 2 l. A washing fluid is supplied to the glass via hoses through
two jets.
The delivery of the washing fluid is engaged by pressing the windshield washer
control button located on the dashboard to the left of the steering wheel.
When ambient temperature e5 °C, filtered water is used for filling in the
tank. At the ambient temperatures from +5 °C down to –40 °C it is recommended to
use a distilled water solution and sulfanol solution in isopropyl spirit (
НИИСС
-4 flu-
id) in the ratios specified in Table 11.

Do not use the
НИИСС
-4 fluid without diluting it by water, because the com-
bined effect of the concentrate, atmospheric contamination and ultraviolet rays cause
change of the truck paint-and-vanish coating.
Rinse the glasses by engaging of the windshield wipers simultaneously. Change
the direction of the fluid spurt by turning the guide in the jet.
Cab heating.
The cab is heated by the air warmed up in the heater which is con-
nected with the engine cooling system. The air delivery is adjusted on the outside with
the help of exterior hatch cover 12 (Fig. 100) and in the cab – with the help of interior
hatch cover 7. If the heater fan is engaged, the heated air flows into warm air dis-
tributor 3 and then is spreaded around the cab by means of controlled flaps.
