5.4. Maintenance instructions
reliable performance of the pressing machine depends
on careful treatment. this represents an important
condition in the creation of a lasting and secure join.
to safeguard this, the tool needs to be maintained and
serviced regularly. We would like to draw your attention
to the following points:
1. the electric hydraulic pressing unit should be cleaned
after each use, and should always be dry before it is
stored.
2. In order to guarantee the proper functioning of the
machine, and to prevent faults, the pressing unit
should be returned to the manufacturer for inspection
after the period of one year and for service after 3
years or after 10,000 pressings. (see chapter 4.3)
3. Both the battery and the charger should be protected
against humidity and foreign bodies.
4. the bolt connections and the drive rolls and their
guides should be lightly oiled.
5. regularly check, or have it checked that the unit is
functioning properly.
6. always keep the pressing jaws clean. remove any dirt
with a brush.
to avoid possible malfunctions, we offer a full manufac-
turer’s service. this consists of disassembly, cleaning, the
replacement of any worn-out parts, re-assembly and a
final check. only a clean and properly-functioning press-
ing system can guarantee a permanent, leak-free join.
Within the framework of the intended usage of the unit,
only the pressing jaws can be changed by the customer.

attention
Do not open the unit! If the seals are damaged,
the warranty is invalidated.
5.5. guide for the use of the battery and charger
the charger is run with a nominal voltage of 230V and
a frequency of 50Hz. new batteries must be charged
prior to use. to charge the battery, the charger needs
to be connected to the mains, and the battery inserted
into it. charge time is one hour, respectively 15 min with
our quick charger. the charge level of the battery can be
checked by an lED on the charger:
Green:
battery is charged
red:
battery is discharged and is currently being
charged
Flashing: battery is not inserted correctly or is too hot.
an acoustic signal also occurs.
Push the battery into the charger so that its polarity
corresponds with that of the charger. If the battery is
correctly positioned, the lED changes from green to red
and the charging process begins. When charging is com-
plete, the lED changes back to green and an acoustic
signal sounds for about 5 seconds.
no other types of battery, for example dry cell batteries
or car batteries, can be used either with the machine or
with the charger.
the battery should be recharged when the speed of the
machine drops noticeably. Do not recharge a partially
discharged battery as a precaution.
If you are charging a battery which has recently been
used or which has been lying in the sun for some time,
the lED may flash red. In this case, wait for a while. the
charging process will commence as soon as the battery
has cooled down.
If the lED flashes red and green and an acoustic signal
sounds for 20 seconds, it is not possible to charge the
battery. Either the poles of the battery or the charging
unit are dirty, or the battery is worn out or damaged. If
you want to charge two batteries, one after the other,
wait for 15 minutes before charging the second.
avoid exposure to temperature fluctuations under 0 °c
and above 40 °c. such temperatures may damage the
battery or even the tool itself. the optimal operating
temperature range is 15 - 25 °c.
Do not leave the charger in rain or snow. Do not charge
the battery in the proximity of highly flammable materi-
als or gases.
Do not carry the charger by its mains cable, and do not
use force to pull it out of the mains socket. Do not put
any objects into the ventilation ducts of the charger.
Batteries may only be charged in the charger supplied by
the manufacturer.
