USE OF THE APPLIANCE
1. Make sure that the appliance is
switched off.
2. Fill in oil up to the required level
(between MINIMUM and MAXI-
MUM).
3. Turn the temperature select switch
to the required temperature and
switch the appliance on. The con-
trol lamp turns on.
4. If you use solid frying fat, set the
appliance to approx. 140 °C. Cut
the fat into small cubes of about
2 cm. Fill in a sufficient amount
of fat cubes to cover the heating
element. Switch the appliance on.
As soon as these cubes are mel-
ted add more fat cubes until the
required level between MIN and
MAX is reached. This type of fat
will become solid after cooling
down.
5. As soon as the required tem-
perature is reached the control
lamp turns out. The appliance
is equipped with a thermostat
to regulate the temperature. The
heating is turned on and off in
intervals. Accordingly the control
lamp turns on and off. In order to
obtain optimum frying results, you
should only add the foodstuff to
be fried when the required tempe-
rature is reached and control lamp
turns out.
6. Place the foodstuff into the bas-
ket and lower it slowly into the oil.
If you want your foodstuff crispy,
you should fry without lid. As soon
as the temperature falls and green
control lamp turns on, lift the
foodstuff out of the fat and wait
until the required temperature is
reached again. Then continue fry-
ing until the foodstuff is ready.
ATTENTION:
Take care of oil splashes! The
appliance is very hot during
and after operation!
7. Frozen food contains more water
than dry food and causes more
splashes!
