Emergency Stop
Emergency Stop or any other external function that should abort the welding sequence can be
implemented, by the user, by continuously shorting Pin 5 to Pins 6, 7, 8, or 9 on the EXTERNAL
INPUTS Connector. A switch closure will abort the welding sequence within one-half cycle after the
switch closes. No operation can be initiated until the short is removed.
Remote Weld Inhibit
This input has the same function as the WELD/NO WELD Switch on the Front Panel. Shorting Pin 4 on
the External Inp ut Connector to Pins 6, 7, 8, or 9 inhibits the weld current. All other functions continue
to function properly. All timing periods will count down to zero, but no weld current will flow. For
normal welding this pin must not be grounded.
Remote Weld Schedule Selection (PM6)
When Pins 1, 2, and 3 on the EXTERNAL INPUTS connector are open, the weld schedule displayed as
the Schedule Number will be executed. Shorting any one of these inputs to Pins 6, 7, 8, or 9 will cause
the PM6 to load and execute the weld schedule, defined by the particular input switch combination,
immediately after the initiation switch closes. Weld schedules are selected according to the binary
coded decimal pattern shown below:
