8.2.
Safe operating of wrapping machine
Based on work characteristics staying by the wrapping machine is very dangerous. Should not come
close to the machine when it is connected to a tractor and the engine is turned on. Before turning the
wrapping machine (the tractor) on, check if
there are no by standers that machine
might be danger to.
To increase safety of use, the machine
has been provided with two safety bars
(1), mounted on the rotating arms. Role of
the bars is to stop the arms immediately in
case of contact with holdback. When one
of the safety bars (1) is pushed it breaks
contact between sensor (3) and magnet
(4), placed under the top cover of arms drive (Fig.
19). To start again the wrapping machine, remove
the obstacle that caused stopping arms and re-
store contact between sensor (3) and magnet (4) by
pulling the tension member (2) shown in Fig. 18. Check
effectiveness of this protection periodically by pushing
the safety bar of turned off machine and attempting to
turn the machine on next.
Fig. 18 shows placement of the safety switch (5).
It is used for machine emergency stop in case of incor-
rect operating or encountered threat. Should be
pushed to stop the machine. Machine will not allow to
start
itself until it stays pressed.
