Tuning can only be carried out by setting the frequency of the transponder in one of the
following manners (it is not possible to use the 1
st
IF frequency):
1) Using the numeric keyboard and pressing the
ENTER
button to confirm.
2) Turning the shaft encoder until the display shows the desired frequency.
The possible frequency settings (0.1 MHz or 4.0 MHz) can be selected by holding down the
FR
button and turning the shaft encoder to set the frequency cursor to the number that
corresponds to the whole number or decimal. Press
ENTER
to confirm the selection.
During functionality in SCR mode, the following functions remain enabled:
-
The normal spectrum analyzer functions.
-
LNB: enables or disables the power supply voltage of the SCR LNB.
-
TV: for viewing analogue or digital images by means of MPEG4 / MPEG2 decoding.
-
MEA: allows for switching to MEASUREMENT mode.
-
DIGI: Allows the QPSK card to be activated in order to analyze the quality of the
digital satellite signal with the relative BER, PVBER and MER readings, as well as that
of other parameters. The possibility of activating the MPEG4/MPEG2 card also
provides for the reading of the NIT and the viewing of the images from the free-to-
air digital channels.
Press the
DSQ
button to exit SCR mode: the SCR function will be deactivated and the
instrument will return to the main screen.

SOUND
4.14.1.
FOR TERRESTRIAL CHANNELS
The instrument is equipped with three audio demodulators that are automatically selected
by the instrument based on the type of measurement demodulator in use.
TV For television signals, the relative audio subcarrier frequency (5.5-6-6.5 MHz) and the
type of modulation (normally FM and AM for the L standard) are automatically selected
based on the set standard.
FM For frequency modulated carriers (for example, FM radio stations) FM demodulator.
AM For amplitude modulated carriers (for example, remote controls) AM demodulator.
4.14.2.
FOR SATELLITE CHANNELS
Press the
2nd
and
Sound
buttons to display the menu regarding the preset or custom
audio subcarrier settings. In order to select the desired audio, turn the dial to bring the
cursor to the selected position and press
ENTER
. The menu items include the following:
z
DEFAULT SOUND: select this item to select the desired audio subcarrier from amongst
those present within the table.
z
CUSTOM SOUND: allows for four audio subcarriers to be freely configured and listed
along with the predefined standard ones. In order to carry out the configuration:

Select CUSTOM SOUND and press
ENTER
.

Select the subcarrier to be configured and press
ENTER
.
•
Turn the Shaft Encoder to set the desired frequency and press
ENTER
to confirm. Press
the
SOUND
button to exit.
