setting is required. After having called up the measurement, select the NOISE frequency.
The instrument facilitates the search for the best point by performing a panoramic scan.

SATELLITE VIDEO POLARITY
The polarity of the video signal for analogue satellite transmissions can be either positive or
negative. This normally depends on the reception band, whether Ku or C. The polarity can
be selected from the TV menu, described further ahead.

FULL SCREEN TV PICTURE
In order to see the tuned TV channel in full screen mode, press the
TV
button. The signal is
often better in this operating mode than in measurement mode because the instrument
optimizes the input attenuation and uses the tuner’s AGC. The instrument behaves like a
typical television, allowing for a true evaluation of the system's response.

POWERING AND CONTROLLING THE LNB
To power an LNB, press the
LNB
button. The power supply voltage can be selected by
turning the dial. Check the indication on the status bar to verify the selected voltage. Press
the
LNB
button again to deactivate the power supply. When the LNB is receiving power, the
ON
indicator will light up. When the consumption of the powered device is greater than
approximately 50 mA, the
CONT
indicator also turns on; if the latter is not on, it can be
assumed that the drop cable is interrupted or that the LNB is not connected (or broken).
