The headlift mechanism consists of a double-folded bracket on
which a DC motor and a connection board is fitted. The motor is
connected to P-3 on the connection board.
On the shaft of the motor, a cam is fitted. A photoelectric sensor
connected to P-4 on the connection board detects the position of the
cam (printhead lifted or lowered). The outer end of the motor's shaft
is supported by a ball bearing inserted in the bracket.
The cam is provided with an eccentrically fitted ball bearing that
engages the printhead lift lever (see previous page).
