5 Connecting Equipment to the CORIO®matrix
The CORIO®matrix has Universal DVI (DVI-U) input and output connectors.
DVI-I signals can be connected directly using DVI-I cables. Due to the large
number of connectors that may be connected, it is important to use fully
screened cables with built-in Ferrite chokes to meet the emission standards.
For HDMI, composite video or analog signals, TVOne can supply appropriate
adapters that can be fitted to the DVI-U connector.
Below is a diagram of the rear of the unit. DVI-U cards can be placed in slots 1
to 16.
The input cards are identified as black painted with white writing. These are
placed in the unit from the top at slot 1, increasing in number. The top row can
only be inputs. The remaining rows can be inputs or outputs. Best practice is to
put the first input card in slot 1 and work forwards, while the first output card goes
in slot 16 and works backwards.
The output cards are painted white with black writing. Output cards are placed
after the input cards – slot 5 is the first slot that will accept an output card. These
outputs can do resolution conversion and can genlock to a separate input.
