Once a year check and tighten all screw connections in the
control box, heaters and valves and instrumentation. (to be
done by an authorized technician).

Once a month clean the strainer as per para. 9.3. Cleaning
frequency may be reduced according to experience.
8.
Once every six months clean the fan grid, from the inside
outward, with a vacuum cleaner.
9.
Every 6 months replace the air filter, (if installed) (to be done
by an authorized technician).

Drain the generator every 6 months and refill it with mineral
free water (to be done by a qualified technician).

Periodical Tests
1.
Once every month activate the safety valve (see para. 9.4).
11.2
Checking the Safety Valve
Both safety valves, the chamber safety valve (2) and the generator safety
valve (3), are located on the top rear of the autoclave (see
Rear View, 14
and 15
).
They are protected by a safety shield.
In order to prevent the safety valve from a blockage, operate it once a
month.
Attention:
Use protective gloves in order to prevent hot steam burns to hands
11.2.1
PED-approved type safety valve
1.
For the autoclave safety valve, operate the sterilization
cycle; for the generator safety valve, operate the generator.
2.
Allow a pressure of approximately 200 kPa (29 psi) to
build up in the chamber.
3.
Turn the safety valve pressure-regulating nut clockwise
for 2 seconds.
Caution:
Be careful not to burn your hands.
4.
Return the nut to its original position.
5.
Press the STOP/STOP key to interrupt the operation, and
exhaust steam from chamber.
6.
Wait until the pressure decreases to zero, only then can the
door be opened.
