Electrical Power Supply Connection:
The power
supply connection
[ I ]
is designed to be plugged into
the Electrical Power Supply Harness. The harness is
part of the mounting kit and is sized to fit the type of
truck being used to carry the WideSpin 1540 TEC.
Electrical connection to the truck is at trucks battery. A
12 volt DC, negative ground power source is needed
to operate the hydraulic solenoids in the WideSpin
1540 TEC hydraulic system. A 10 AMP type ATO
fuse is located in a holder on the positive (
+
) power
connection of the harness.
CAN Receiver:
The CAN receiver
[J]
handles and
stores the programming and setting information for
the electronic control box. The receiver has two small
indicator lights, one green light that indicates normal
operating status and one red light that indicates
operating errors.

1540 TEC OPERATOR POSITION
Operator Position:
The proper location for the operator
of the WideSpin 1540 TEC Top Dresser is seated in
the trucks seat. Always stop the trucks engine, lock
the brakes, and disengage the hydraulic power before
leaving the operator’s seat. Do not stand behind or
allow anyone to stand behind the WideSpin 1540 TEC
top dresser when the spinner attachment is operating.

Before Engaging the Spinner Assembly.

1540 TEC OPERATOR CONTROLS
Power ON/OFF Switch:
The power ON/OFF switch
[K]
controls the electrical power for the top dresser.
The switch must be ON to power the electronic control
box. When not in use, the switch must be OFF to cut
power to the control box and to avoid draining the truck
battery.
Electronic Control Box:
The electronic control box
[L]
controls the ON/OFF functions and speeds of the
spinners and the conveyor belt. The box has a display
that shows spinner and conveyor belt speeds. The
display also shows the operator chosen preset speeds
and system performance information.
When not in use, the control box hangs on the front of
the frame. DO NOT put the box in the hopper.
Always be at the operator’s position before engaging
the control box switches.

of the spinner assembly and the conveyor belt. The
switch has 3 positions:
