Refer to the Installation and Assembly section of this
manual for proper hose routing and connection.
TO AVOID SERIOUS BODILY INJURY and
To Avoid Serious Damage to the
WideSpin 1540 TEC,
Both Hydraulic Hoses Must Be Properly and
Completely Connected To the Truck.
SECURELY CONNECT ALL
QUICK DISCONNECT FITTINGS!!
HOSES MUST BE PROPERLY CONNECTED
TO THE TRUCK. THE CONNECTION MUST BE
SECURE. IF THE PRESSURE OUT HOSE IS
NOT CONNECTED PROPERLY, EXCESSIVE
PRESSURE WILL DEVELOP IN THE WIDESPIN
1540 TEC HYDRAULIC COOLER AND CAUSE
SERIOUS DAMAGE.
MANIFOLD VALVE BLOCK
(See Figure 26)
The manifold valve block contains a relief valve, a
hydraulic fluid temperature sensor, the PF1 spinner
speed valve body, and the PF2 conveyor belt speed
valve body. The PF1 and PF2 valve bodies control
hydraulic flow to the spinner assembly motors and to
the conveyor belt motor.
NOTE: O-ring kits are available for the manifold block
components. Refer to the parts list section of this
manual.
PF1 Spinner Speed Control Valve Body:
PF1 is
located in port “PF1” in the upper section of the block.
PF1 is an electrically operated valve controlled by the
Spinner Speed switch and the Preset Buttons on the
electronic control box. When activated, the electronic
control box will show 0% through 100% in the spinner
side of the display.
The valve controls the speed of the spinners by
regulating the amount of hydraulic flow and pressure
to the motors. The hydraulic flow enters the valve from
port “IN” in the upper section of the valve block. PF1
will not have enough flow to operate if solenoid coil is
not activated or is inoperative.
When the electronic control box is in the ON position
for the spinner, the solenoid is activated. Electrical
activation regulates the valve opening and directs the
controlled hydraulic flow to the spinner motors.
The controlled flow going out of the PF1 speed control
exits the upper section of the block at port “CF” and
goes to the spinner assembly to power the spinner
wheel hydraulic motors. Excess flow (internal bypass
flow) from PF1 is internally routed through to the lower
section of the block to port “EX” and is returned to the
truck.
Refer to the “Electrical Systems” maintenance section
in this manual for information about servicing the
electrical components and electrical connections to
PF1.
The solenoid coil and valve body are replaceable
service parts. The valve body does not have any user
serviceable parts. If the valve is malfunctioning, it will
need replacement.
An O-ring kit is available for the
valve. Refer to the parts list section of this manual.
PF2 Conveyor Belt Speed Control Valve Body:
PF2
is located in the lower section of the block. PF2 is an
electrically operated valve controlled by the Conveyor
Belt Speed switch and the Preset Buttons on the
electronic control box. When activated, the electronic
