11-2 Battery backup battery replacement

PM16C-16HW2 uses a button battery for battery backup, even if the power is turned off.

It holds the settings of each axis and the current position.
It has a life of 5 years or more, but if the battery runs out, it will not be possible to set and
retain location information when the power is turned off.  If  you turn on the power in that
state, " BATT EMPTY" will be displayed on the LCD at regular intervals, and the "ERR? "
Command will respond with "BATTERY EMPTY".

Please have one CR2032 ready when you replace the
backup battery.
When  you  open  the  top  lid  of  the  main  body,  the
battery is stored in BAT1 at the lower left of the board
in the center.
Push the battery in the opposite side of the claws on
the  battery  (the  part  surrounded  by  the  circle  in  the
figure on the right), remove the battery, and replace it
with a new one. When the replacement is complete,
push  the  battery  in  so  that  the  claws  catch  on  the
battery.

After replacing the battery, turn on the power of the main unit. "BATT EMPTY" is displayed
when the power is turned on for the first time, but after that, the power is turned on again,
and when the previous display disappears after the second time, the battery replacement is
complete.
