Explanation of the status icons on the LCD screen
See table 4 below for a description of the various status icons shown on the camera’s
LCD screen (J, figure 1). Use table 4 in combination with figure 3.

Camera resolution
Displays the horizontal resolution.
2048 = 2048x1536; 1600= 1600x1200;
1280=1280x960; 800=800x600

Quality
Displays the quality of the recording.
= Normal quality
= Fine quality

Recording mode
The camera is set to take a photograph.
= Setting for taking photographs
= Setting for recording videos

Memory status
Displays approximately how much
memory is left for saving video clips and
photographs.

Photo/video counter
In the Photo mode, it displays the
number of photographs which have
already been taken.
In the Video mode, it displays the time in
seconds remaining for recording a video
clip.
In the Play mode, it displays the number
of photographs which have already been
taken and the number of video clips
which have been recorded.

Automatic exposure
icon
Appears when the automatic exposure
function has been turned on.
