Some fau l ts are " l atch i ng " ; that i s, even though the fau l t cond i t i on has been
c l eared, the user must ackno w l edge that the fau l t occurred before the fau l t
message w ill d i sappear from the A C U d i sp l ay. A n examp l e of a l atch i ng fau l t i s the
" Track i ng s i gna l i nput saturated " fau l t message, i nd i cat i ng that the track i ng s i gna l
i nput exceeded 1 0 V D C. The A C U cannot track proper l y w i th that vo l tage. Th i s
l atches because th i s error often occurs i nterm i ttent l y. Interm i ttent track i ng
prob l ems can be caused by th i s, and i t i s i mportant to be a w are of such a fau l t so
that i t can be corrected.
