Rules
After creating filters, click the
Add
button to set the rules on how to implement the
filters.
Filter Key
— Select the filter to assign the rule.
Enable
— Check this box to enable this rule.
Protocol
— Select a protocol from the drop-down list. Options are
TCP
,
UDP
, or
ICMP
.
Action
— Select the action to execute when the rule requirement is met. Options
are:
•
Drop
: Select to drop the packets if the rule requirement is met.
•
Permit
: Select to allow packets to pass through if the rule requirement is
met.
•
Reject
: Select to reject the packets if the rule requirement is met. Select
the
Reject Type
from the drop-down list.
Depending on the selected protocol and the selected action, the fields below may or
may not be displayed on the screen.
Origin IP Address
— Enter the IP address of the origin of the packets.
Origin Mask
— Enter the subnet mask of the origin of the packets.
Destination IP Address
— Enter the IP address of the destination of the packets.
Destination Mask
— Enter the subnet mask of the destination of the packets.
Origin Start Port
and
Origin End Port
— Enter the starting and ending port range of
the origin of the packets.
