Connecting the Antenna Cable
After mounting the antenna to the vehicle’s roof, you
need to connect the supplied antenna cable (see
below) to the antenna and route the cable inside the
vehicle.
There are two options for passing the cable into the
vehicle:
Option 1 - Through the roof
Option 2 - Behind the hatch (SUVs and minivans)
If the gap in the vehicle’s hatch hinge is wide enough
when closed to allow the antenna cable to pass
without pinching it, you can insert the antenna cable
through the gap and into the vehicle. If the gap is too
narrow, you will need to use the roof drill-through
option.
Installers often prefer the professional appearance
of the drill-through option.
