6.9 Installing the Bottom Cover

Set the bottom cover on the base assembly but DO NOT press the bottom cover into
position.

Gently press the FDD door inward with your finger as you press the bottom cover to the base

assembly (Figure 6-13).

While pressing down on the bottom cover, insert the nine (M2x5 silver) screws to secure the
bottom cover to the base assembly (Figure 6-14).

Place the NDP cover into position on the bottom cover. Insert the one (M2x5 silver) screw
to secure the NDP cover to the bottom cover.

Turn the computer right side up with the front facing you.

Install the I/O connector cover,

EXP

connector cover, key pad connector cover, and PS/2

mouse connector cover.

CAUTION: Make sure the PS/2 mouse connector cover is installed with the two hooked
protrusions facing downward.
