Clearing Hibernation files
After you install or remove a memory module, you will need to clear
Hibernation related files. Follow the steps below.
1. Click the
Start
button and click
Shut Down
.
2. Select
Restart in MS-DOS
mode and click
OK
.
3. At the MS-DOS prompt type
CD \Windows
and press
Enter
.
4.
Type
HALLOC /C
and press
Enter
.
Additional battery packs
You can increase the portability of the computer with additional battery
packs (PA3000U, PA3002U). Each has different capacities. If you’re away
from an AC power source, you can replace a low battery with a fully
charged one. See Chapter 6, Power and Power-Up Modes .
Battery pack
(PA3000U)
The battery pack model PA3000U has a capacity
of 3,000 mAh.
High Capacity Battery
pack (PA3002U)
The high-capacity battery pack model PA3002U
has a capacity of 6,000 mAh, twice the capacity
of battery pack model PA3000U.
Additional AC adaptor
If you frequently transport the computer between different sites such as
your home and office, purchasing an AC adaptor (PA2450U) for each
location will reduce the weight and bulk of your carrying load.
Battery charger
The battery charger (PA2508U) provides a convenient way to charge
battery packs without requiring the use of your computer. The battery
charger holds up to two Lithium-ion battery packs, which it charges in
succession. Charging time is about 2.5 hours for a standard battery pack,
and 5 hours for the high-capacity battery pack. It can charge battery pack
models PA3000U, PA3001U and PA3002U.
