1. Park the machine on a level surface. Ensure that the engine is OFF. Remove

the spark plug wire from the engine spark plug.

2. Remove the transport wheel if attached; refer to

Note:

Support the machine on kickstand during this operation.

3. Move the traction engage/disengage lever to the disengage position to

remove torque from the drum drive gears.
