PAL+BT Getting Started
1.
Extend the telescopic antenna and position for best
reception.
2.
Plug in the PAL radio using the included power
adapter and press the Power button
on the
remote or briefly press down on the control wheel on
top of the radio.
3.
Wait for full-scan for DAB/DAB+/DMB
to complete.
4.
Press the
or
buttons on the remote to view
the stations list on the display, then press
or
again to scroll through the stations.
5.
Press the Volume
or
buttons on the remote to
adjust the volume.
6.
Press and hold
to store the
currently tuned station..
7.
With the PAL on, press the Alarm button
on the
remote control to access the alarm. Use the
or
buttons and Menu/Select button
to adjust
and set the alarms.
8.
Press and hold
to enter the main menu and press
briefly to select items within the menu.
NOTE:
The PAL includes a partially charged battery for added safety
during shipping. To charge the battery, place the PAL in standby
with the adapter connected. For more detailed information,
please consult the owner’s manual.

Bluetooth Operation
Prior to pairing, verify your device supports Bluetooth and that your device is not connected to any other
Bluetooth product. Devices may pair differently. Below is a general guide.
1.
Change the source to Bluetooth, then press and hold the Scan button. Turn the volume up about ¼
to start. Also turn up the volume on the source device (the device you are streaming from).
2.
Turn on the Bluetooth wireless technology on your enabled device.
3.
Select “Tivoli Audio PAL+BT” when it appears on your device’s screen to initiate searching. Some
devices may prompt you for a PIN. If so, enter “0000”. “Tivoli Audio PAL” will change from “Not
Paired” to “Connected”.
4.
Once the radio displays “BT Connected” on its screen, you are paired to the radio and can begin
playing your music wirelessly. Adjust the volume level on your device. You should not have to pair
your device again.
Depending on your device, you may need to make multiple attempts at Pairing
and/or Connecting to the PAL, but please give your device adequate time to Pair or Connect
before repeating the process.
NOTE:
•
If the audio drops out or stops during playback, move your device closer to the PAL, or check to be
sure another wireless device is not interfering with the signal.
•
When switching from Bluetooth to DAB or FM, you may need to re-adjust (lower) the radio’s volume
level.
