SAFETY FOR USE OF THE BATTERY
ATTENTION:
- Carefully read all precautions on the battery.
- Batteries contain sulfuric acid, which can leak out for various reasons. The acid may also disperse in the form
of droplets and / or sprays / sprays during recharging.
- Sulfuric acid is a corrosive and poisonous liquid, which can cause burns and irritation to the skin and eyes, and
can seriously damage clothing.
- Always handle batteries with care.
- Never overfill with acid.
- Store in an upright position.
- Keep out of reach of children.
- Charge in a well-ventilated room.
- Always wear protective clothing, gloves and glasses.
- When working on a vehicle’s electrical system, always disconnect the battery.
- Be very careful to avoid shorting the terminal in voltage with the ground terminal.
- Never invert the positive and negative pole terminals on the battery.
- Before disconnecting the battery:
- Turn off all electrical users. The first terminal to be disconnected and the last to be connected must be the
ground pole, which must be kept at a distance from the battery.
- Always make sure to handle cables and connectors carefully to avoid accidental sparks.
- DO NOT smoke near a battery. DO NOT place naked flames near the battery. DO NOT create sparks near a
battery.
- In case of contact with battery acid: Rinse the affected area immediately with plenty of clean water and
remove any contaminated clothing. Consult a doctor.
- If battery acid is swallowed: Drink plenty of water immediately. DO NOT induce vomiting and contact
emergency medical facilities immediately.
