Unpack the Body Shield Assembly

CAUTION: HEAVY EQUIPMENT

Use care when handling leaded body shield assembly. The assembly

weighs ~ 54 pounds (24.5 kilograms) and must be handled by two people.

WARNING! RADIATION DAMAGE HAZARD

The Body Shield must be handled with care to avoid damage to the Body

Shield protective lead material. If the Body Shield is damaged, it must be

inspected according to the Body and Face Shield Fluoroscopy Inspection

section of the User’s Guide (TIDI Products document 84000).

1. Remove the screws that secure the Straps (shown in red) to the Body Shield.

2. Leaving the protective foam cover intact (Figure 19), remove the body shield

assembly from the crate and place on a clean, flat surface Protective covers

remain until installation is complete.
