8 Preparing for sterilization

INFORMATION
The chamber should be dry before loading since any residual
moisture will extend the batch times.
If you load several sterilization containers into the sterilizing chamber:
INFORMATION
Insert sterilization containers with light items into the upper
segment, and those with heavy items into the lower segment
of the sterilizing chamber. This will clear the way for the
condensate accumulating liberally on heavy sterilizing items to
drip off.

Load the sterilization container into the sterilizing chamber (9).
♦
Check to see that the sealing surface on the door (1) and the door seal
(7) are clean.
♦
Close the door (1) until it touches the sterilizing chamber (9).
The door will lock automatically when the selected program has been started.

Loading the sterilizing chamber with steel wire baskets:
If you load several steel wire baskets into the sterilizing chamber:

Insert steel wire baskets with light items into the upper
segment, and those with heavy items into the lower segment
of the sterilizing chamber. This will clear the way for the
condensate accumulating liberally on heavy sterilizing items to
drip off.

Load the steel wire baskets into the sterilizing chamber (9).
♦
Check to see that the sealing surface on the door (1) and the door seal
