17 Opening the door without power

17 Opening the door without power

DANGER

Only use the emergency unlocking aid to open the sterilizer
door when the sterilizing chamber is not under pressure.

♦

Check to ensure that the sterilizing chamber is not under pressure.

Slightly jolt the door. If it is possible to move the door back and forth a bit, the
sterilizing chamber is not under pressure.

♦

Remove the cover for the emergency unlocking aid insertion opening.

♦

Insert the emergency unlocking aid in the emergency unlocking

aid insertion opening (see Figure 28).

Fasten the hook of the emergency unlocking aid to the eye of the lock

barrel (not visible from outside).

♦

Pull the emergency unlocking aid.

The door opens.

♦

Remove the emergency unlocking aid and attach the insertion cover.

When the sterilizer is reconnected to mains, the sterilization phase display may
show an error message.

♦

Proceed as described in Chapter 14, Errors.

DANGER

If a program is interrupted, the load must be re-sterilized for
safety reasons.
