In addition to regularly scheduled maintenance, the unit may require other
maintenance, including:

Replacing the battery pack
●
Replacing the pump
●
Lubricating the mass transducer O-rings
●
Performing a flow calibration
●
Lubricating cyclone grit pot
WARNING
The battery pack (PN: 56-010897-2300) is designed with
specific individual battery cells. These battery cells are not user replaceable.
The battery packs may be replaced only by MSHA certified individuals
pursuant to 30 CFR Parts 70, 71 & 90. All charging of these battery packs
shall take place while installed in the PDM3700 and in fresh air in Battery
Charging stations as defined in 30 CFR 75.340 or fresh air above ground.

WARNING
Do not operate the PDM3700 if its case is damaged or
otherwise compromised.

CAUTION
PDM3700 maintenance should only be performed by trained,
authorized personnel.

WARNING
Only MSHA certified individuals may perform maintenance,
calibration and sampling pursuant to 30 CFR Parts 70, 71 & 90. This
includes changing the battery packs, sample pump, cleaning the sample
inlet, and other maintenance items as described in the operator’s manual.

Some of these procedures require the PDM3700 case to be opened. If the
PDM3700 case is opened for any reason, a case leak check must be
performed.
