When the unit is first powered on, it will be placed in IDLE mode. IDLE
mode indicates the unit is powered and waiting to be placed into
STANDBY by pressing the STBY button, or placed in RUN by pressing
the START/STOP button.
Note
Do not put unit into IDLE mode or turn off the TII during non-
work hours. Doing so will allow bacterial growth and other contamination
of the water in the system. As a result, the system will require a lengthy
rinse-up period at the beginning of the workday to achieve high-quality
product water.
s
In RUN mode, the pump recirculates water through the cartridges and the
UV lamp. It is recommended that the TII be left in RUN mode during the
day. In RUN mode, the purity meter display indicates the resistivity
(temperature compensated to 25°C) of the water available for dispensing.
1. From IDLE or STANDBY, press the START/STOP button to put the
unit in RUN mode. The TII’s pump will begin to run and display the
purity of the product water if the water level is above 25%.
2. Allow the water’s purity to rise to the desired level before dispensing
water. Also, in the RUN mode, the RO operation automatically turns
on to fill the reservoir as needed. When the reservoir is full, the RO
system will automatically return to STANDBY.
