Prior to using the TII, you will need to sanitize the unit. Therefore you
will install the cleaning block (Figure 3-11) in place of the Durapack
cartridge until after the cleaning step is complete. Install the cleaning block
as follows:
1. Disconnect the power cord from the unit.
2. Access the right side of the unit by unlatching the screw securing the
door with a flathead screwdriver. Open the door.
3. Remove the cleaning block from its
packaging and verify that each of the four
posts on the cleaning pack has an o-ring.
Wet the o-rings with water.
4. Insert cleaning block and align the block so
that it mates with the unit manifold. The
notched top of the block will face the door.
5. Lower unit manifold until it is flush with the top of the cleaning
block.
6. Hand-tighten winghead
screw securely.
7. Close door.
8. Attach barbed fitting to
dispense outlet as shown in
Figure 3-12.
9. Securely attach drain tubing
to barb fitting and route the
open end to an atmospheric
drain.
10. Secure drain end of tube as
pressurized water will exit
the system during the
cleaning procedure.
