Prerequisites
The SMA STPS 60 has been installed in accordance with SMA’s specifications (installation/connection).
Procedure
1
Connect the DC connecting cables
5.1
/
5.2
or
7.1
/
7.2
to the
“CHARGER” connections
12
/
13
on the APU HV1000-S. The colours
of the plugs must match the colours of the sockets on the
APU HV1000-S, i.e. red plug to red socket and black plug to black
socket.
The plugs must audibly snap into place.
2
Check the cabling for the SMA STPS 60 and the TS HV 70 Outdoor (see installation manual
SMA STPS 60). Inspect the component wiring in accordance with section “5.9 Wiring the battery mod-
ules” on page 22 et. seq. If the wiring is correct, all live components will be protected against physi-
cal contact. Switch the DC power switch on the BatBreaker (if present) to “ON”. Ensure that the
SMA STPS 60’s DC load-disconnecting switch is set to “ON”.
3
Make the settings for terminating and addressing the
TS HV 70 Outdoor (“TERM”
5
and “ADDRESS”
10
)in accordance
with section “10.2 Expanding capacity using additional TS HV 70
Outdoor units” on page 46 et. seq. In the case of master/slave
systems, “TERM”
5
on the APUs of the master and the last stor-
age system is to be set to “ON”. “TERM”
5
is to be set to “OFF” for
all other slave APUs in the arrangement.
ATTENTION! Possible damage to the APU HV1000-S due to incorrect operation
If you tap on the APU HV1000-S to activate it or confirm an action, note the following instructions to
avoid damaging the APU HV1000-S:
1.
Do not use objects to tap the unit under any circumstances.
2.
Tap gently on the marking to the right of the display on the casing.
Never tap on the display
.
4
Insert the back-up fuse for the TS HV 70 Outdoor in the outdoor distribution enclosure. All back-up
fuses for the individual TS-HV-70 units must be inserted so that the distributor panel in every battery
cabinet has a power supply, and the consumers such as air conditioners and heating units can be put
into operation.
5
In the connector panel, insert the 35 A NH00 fuses
9
or
37
(see
“5.8 Connector panel” on page 19 et. seq.) for the consumer line
in the right fuse holder. To do this, open the fuse holder and push
the fuses into the relevant slot parallel to the holder. Then close
the fuse holder.
6
Switch on the following circuit breakers
33
in the connector panel
D
in sequence:
1. F3 –> 2. F4 –> if necessary 3. F5 –> 4. F7. Information on assigning the circuit breakers can be
found in section “5.8 Connector panel” on page 19 et. seq.
