6.3 INSTALLING THE COMPONENTS
DANGER! Life-threatening electric shock if grounding is insufficient or absent
If a fault occurs on the unit, insufficient or absent grounding can cause damage to the unit. This poses
the risk of a lethal electric shock. Make sure that the PE supply line described in section “6.2 Connec-
ting the external cabling” on page 26, step
8
is correctly connected to a suitable grounding rod or
foundation grounding or similar.
1
Check whether the two-pin plug for the e-stop connection is
plugged into the APU HV1000-S. If necessary, plug it in as the
APU HV1000-S remains inactive without this plug. Further infor-
mation on the e-stop is available in section “6.4 E-stop contact” on
page 32 of this installation and operating manual.

All battery modules
1
of the battery storage system must have exactly the same state of charge.
So be sure to check the voltage of the battery modules before installation. The battery module’s
voltage must be 50 +/− 0.1 V
DC
at the point of installation. If you notice any deviations, please email
[email protected] or contact the TESVOLT Service Line on +49 (0)3491 8797 - 200.
3
Insert the first battery module below the APU HV1000-S into the
slide rails on the left half of the battery cabinet.
4
Fasten the battery module to the pre-installed cage nuts using
four M6 x 16 pan head screws
L
(Phillips) and plastic washers
L.1
. Now fit the remaining battery modules in the left half of the
battery cabinet. If 16 battery modules are being used, the bottom
position is occupied as well.
5
Install the battery modules in the right side of the battery cabinet.
Start at the level of the top battery module in the left half of the
battery cabinet (the position at a level with the APU HV1000-S
remains unoccupied). Fasten the other battery modules as
described in step
4
.
