1.4.5. Install Optical Fan Assembly

To install a Optical Fan Assembly (OFA1):

1. If not already removed, remove the OLT6 cover by sliding the two cover latches

toward the center and lifting the cover from the chassis.

2. Connect an approved Electrostatic Discharge (ESD) strap to a ground on the

equipment rack.

3. Remove the OFA1 fan tray assembly (see Fig. 10) from it's packaging and

inspect for any apparent damage. If any damage is noted, please contact your
