Confi g level
On confi g level the user is able to change device settings such as hostname,
username and default IP gateway. Confi g level is activated by entering command
confi gure terminal (or c t) on enable level --> “
IPx(config)#
” text appears on the
screen. Entering ? displays a list of commans for confi g level. To read device
settings, the user must return to enable level by entering command end (or en),
exit (or ex) or quit (or q).
Commands:
end (en) - Back to enable level
exit (ex) - Back to enable level
hostname (h) [name] - User defi nable alias name for the device
(uniquely identifi es each device of a network)
interface datachannel (in d) [1/2/3] - Activate data interface 1, 2 or 3 settings level
interface fastethernet (in f) - Activate Ethernet interface settings level
ip default-gateway (ip d) [IP address] - Gateway address for router defi nition
line console (l c) [0-0] - Activate primary terminal line settings level
no hostname (n h) [name] - Reset device’s alias name
no ip default-gateway (n i d) - Reset device’s gateway address
no rmon alarm (n r a) [alarm number] - Remove rmon alarm
no rmon event (n r e) [event number] - Remove rmon event
no rmon shutdown (n r s) - Disable rmon service
no snmp-server host (n s h) [host address] - Remove specify host to receive
snmp notifi cations
no username (n u) [username] - Remove user account
no username (n u) [username] [password] - Remove user account’s password
no video destination-polling (n v d) - Disable destination polling
quit (q) - Back to enable level
rmon - Set rmon functions, see separate document
snmp-server host (s n h) [address] - Set specify host to receive SNMP notifi cations
username [name] group [group] (u username g a/g/o/t) - Add user to selected user
group: administrator (a), guest (g), operator (o) tai technician (t)
username [name] password (u username p) [password] - Change user’s password
username [name] secret (u username s) [password] - Change user’s password
video destination-polling (v d) - Enable video destination polling
video sap (v s) - activate confi g-sap level
video transport-stream (v t) - Activate confi g-ts level
