V.25 bis Autodialer
V.25 bis is an option that allows dialing functions to be controlled using
synchronous data.
Select V.25 bis through the appropriate
&M
command in the AT
command set (refer to the “Asynchronous / Synchronous Mode
Selection — &M” section on pa ge5-25).
If using the LCD,
1) Scroll through the menu to Main Menu 5, MODIFY
CONFIGURATION .
2) Advance to and enter the
DTE PARAMETERS
submenu.
3) Select SYNC DATA .
4) Advance to DIAL METHOD .
5) Select one of V.25 BISYNC DIALER , V.25 SDLC DIALER,
or V.25 ASYNC DIALER, and then select either ASCII or
EBCDIC character format.
Note
The modem must be configured as V.25 SDLC ASCII NRZ for
use with an AS400 IBM computer.
